Omega-3: The Essential Fatty Acid

In this video, Momentous Vice President of Product Matt Chorney explains the fundamentals of Omega-3s. With a focus on developing top-tier products, Matt draws on his experience as a marathon runner and coach to highlight the impact of high-quality supplements on performance.
What Are Omega-3s
Omega-3s are essential fatty acids that can be sourced from small fish like sardines, anchovies, and mackerel. They are found in every cell in our body. However, most people don't get enough Omega-3s in their diets because our bodies don't naturally produce them. That's where supplements come in. The two most important types of Omega-3s are EPA and DHA. They help support cardiovascular health, boost muscle and joint recovery, reduce exercise inflammation, and research has shown that DHA can help support cognitive function and performance as we age.
Function
You may not physically feel the effects of Omega-3s right away, but they are a critical foundational component to our overall health and cognitive function. We exclusively source our Omega-3s using wild-caught, sustainably sourced small fish produced in Norway. Our product is NSF certified for sport, which tests for heavy metals like mercury and lead, label claim potency, as well as banned substances. Our Omega-3 supplement contains 1,600 mg of EPA and DHA in a potent 1:1 ratio of 800 mg each.
Benefits of Omega-3
Research has shown that long-term benefits are best achieved with regular daily supplementation. These benefits can include cardiovascular health, enhanced brain function, reduced inflammation, and optimized recovery after training.
