In 2023, our Product Innovation team began exploring a more enjoyable, convenient way to take creatine.

“We really started to uncover challenges with the delivery system to make sure we were hitting that one gram of creatine monohydrate for every single chew,” says Matt Chorney, VP of Product Innovation.

High moisture and heat in gummy production cause creatine to degrade into creatinine, a waste product formed from the breakdown of creatine that the body can’t use. Plus, stabilizing a gummy requires added sugars, pectins, and fillers, all non-starters for The Momentous Standard™.

“Creatine is incredibly sensitive,” explains Chorney. “The more you manipulate it—with heat, moisture, or other ingredients—the more you risk losing the actual creatine.”

So, we pivoted. The solution: a chewable tablet that didn’t require mixing creatine in liquid or at high temperatures.

To preserve purity and potency, the team fine-tuned every step of the process, adjusting blender speeds to minimize heat generation, carefully monitoring moisture levels before and after blending, and verifying that the final tablets retained full creatine content and bioavailability.

“We iterated probably five or six times on the chewable tablets,” says Byers, “trying to remove everything we possibly could so it could just be the simplest, cleanest formula that we could find.”
