Essential Info
Here’s how to ensure you get the most out of your Pre-Workout.
- Mix 1-2 scoops with 8-12oz of cold water. Drink 20–30 minutes before training.
- The 20–30 minute window aligns with caffeine’s onset of action. By the time you start your first working set, the caffeine is active, the theanine is tempering it, and the citrulline and betaine are available in your bloodstream.
- For best results, drink your entire serving of Pre-Workout within 5-10 minutes (rather than slowly sipping it over a longer period of time).
Important timing note: Avoid taking Pre-Workout within 6 hours of bedtime. The 150mg of caffeine has a half-life of roughly 5–6 hours in most people, and late-day dosing can impair sleep quality even if you don’t feel “wired.” Do not exceed two servings in 24 hours.
Best practice: Avoid taking Pre-Workout at the same time as collagen, a multivitamin, iron, or calcium supplements, as these can interfere with absorption of certain ingredients. Give at least 1 hour between them.
- Use it consistently, not occasionally. The two largest actives in the formula — citrulline and betaine — show their strongest effects in multi-day protocols (7+ days), not single acute doses. Using Pre-Workout on every training day builds a cumulative physiological base that one-off use can’t replicate.
- Time it right. 20–30 minutes before your session is most ideal. Caffeine onset takes 20–30 minutes, and the other actives are absorbed in a similar window.
- Don’t double-dose. The formula is dosed at clinical thresholds for a reason. Two scoops is a full serving. Taking more doesn’t scale the benefit, it just increases caffeine intake and the likelihood of GI discomfort.
What Results To Expect
You’ll notice the caffeine, L-theanine, Alpha-GPC, and L-tyrosine working within the first session: smoother focus, lower perceived exertion, steadier energy without the spike-and-crash cycle. The blood flow, endurance, and strength-supporting effects of citrulline and betaine build over multiple sessions and are most evident after a week or more of consistent use.

Pre-Workout Habits That Drive Success
-
Set Your Time
Respect the 6-hour caffeine buffer. Caffeine’s half-life means half of 150mg is still circulating 5–6 hours later. Protecting your sleep is more important than any pre-workout benefit.
-
Build Your Routine
Prep it before you leave for the gym. Mix your Pre-Workout before you walk out the door (or before you walk into your home gym). Having it ready removes the temptation to skip it on days when motivation is low — which are exactly the days you need it most.
-
Journal Your Progress
Use it regularly on training days. On rest days, you can choose to take a half dose if you’d like, to replace your usual caffeine source.
-
Be Intentional
Don’t stack additional caffeine at the same time. 150mg is calibrated to be effective without overloading. Wait a few hours before adding additional caffeine if wanted. FDA recommends not exceeding 400mg of caffeine daily.
